Activity Feed - Your Real-Time Activity Stream
The Live Feed is available to Admin and Owner roles. It opens as a left-side slide-out panel, not as a full page.
What the Live Feed Is
The Live Feed shows a rolling 24-hour stream of operational activity across your organization:
- emergency response activity
- incident creation and status updates
- patrol check-ins and shift events
- access-control and team operations activity
It is designed for control-room use. You open it from the Live Feed button in the app shell, and the panel stays available while you work elsewhere in the dashboard.
Click to expandWhat You See at the Top
The header of the panel shows:
- Live Feed
- a Last 24 hours activity count
- a close button
Directly below that is the stats bar. In the current UI, this bar can show:
- Needs Attention when there are failed assignments or escalation problems
- Emergency
- Critical
- High
- Total
These are aggregate counts from the same 24-hour feed window.
Filter Tabs
The current Live Feed has four filter tabs:
- All
- Emergency
- Incidents
- Operations
There is no separate Guards tab in the current UI.
Use them like this:
- All for the full activity stream
- Emergency when you only want panic and emergency-response events
- Incidents for case creation, edits, assignments, and resolutions
- Operations for patrol, access-control, and shift-related events

Click to expandHow Activity Cards Work
Each activity appears as a card with:
- a type icon
- title
- time
- short description
- actor name
- optional priority badge
- optional location snippet
Different activities expose different actions.
Emergency Activities
Emergency activities can show:
- Emergency Info
- Incident Info
Emergency Info opens the emergency details modal with the current emergency-response data available in the system, such as:
- reporter identity
- phone and alternate phone
- emergency contact
- device info
- GPS/location details
Incident Activities
Incident-related cards can show:
- Incident Info
This opens the incident view/edit flow so admins can inspect status, assignment, and incident history.
Operational Activities
Some operational cards include direct navigation buttons such as:
- Access Control
- Manage Team
These jump straight to the relevant operational page.
How to Use It During a Shift
Use All as the default view. It gives the fastest sense of what changed in the last few minutes.
Switch to Emergency immediately when an alert comes in. This isolates emergency-related activity and surfaces the relevant response buttons.
Use Operations during handover. It gives a cleaner view of patrol, access, and shift events without all incident traffic mixed in.
Use Incident Info to inspect case progress without leaving the context of the feed. This is the fastest route for confirming whether something is merely reported, already assigned, or needs escalation.
What the Live Feed Does NOT Do
- It is not a standalone dashboard page
- It does not show a dedicated Guards filter
- It does not expose the old medical-information fields that were previously described in older docs
- It does not replace the Incident Map, Operations Board, or Team pages; it is a cross-cutting activity stream
